Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS)

ABLS is a nationally recognized course designed to improve the initial assessment, stabilization, and transfer of burn patients. This training is strongly recommended for clinicians involved in emergency care, trauma response, and disaster preparedness.

Registration Instructions (Two-Step Process – Required)

Step 1: Register through TRS
Please complete the initial registration using the TRS link below:

Step 2: Register through the American Burn Association (ABA)
To receive your ABLS certificate, you must also complete registration through the ABA system. Failure to follow these instructions will prevent you from obtaining your CE credits and certificate for the course.

 
1) Create ABA Profile
  • To verify your participation in the course, you must first have an ABA profile (you do not need to be an ABA member to create a user account or take the course) completed with your preferred email address. If you have not created an ABA profile, use the attached PDF to create an account. Failure to do this will result in you not being able to access your CE and certificate after the course
  • Once you have created your ABA profile, use the ABA link and code to confirm course attendance. Instructions for creating your profile have been attached to this email.
 
2) How To Confirm Attendance for ABLS™ Live Course
  • Log in to your ABA account and use this custom verification link to complete your registration for your desired course
  • You do not need a registration code. Please leave this box blank and click next. You should be able to finish registration without charge.
  • Once you have finished your verification process, check your e-mail and make sure you have received a confirmation. If you have not, e-mail abls@ameriburn.org so that they can help you trouble shoot the issue.
3) Post Course Completion
  • After your ABLS™ coordinator has confirmed attendance and satisfactory completion of the course, the ABA will send out a link to the final course evaluation
  • You must be logged in to your ABA profile before clicking on the provided link.
  • Complete the evaluation in full in order to access the “get certified” link on the last page of the evaluation. You must click this link for your certification to be finalized and appear in your ABA profile along with your CE credits
  • To access both your credits and certificate, follow the below instructions:
You can download the certificate under the Purchases tab at the top of your ABA profile > Certifications > Completed Certifications. The credit hours can be found on your transcript under the Account tab > Education Credits > Download Transcript.
